Amsterdam Coffee Shop 

(West LA)

Thanks to Josh for the location and drinks, books from Scholastics donated by KIPP Empower Academy, Wing Society Food Truck and Royal Divaz Kids Spa Bus for stopping by for the parents and kids. Project DESARDEN gave out 75 Backpacks filled with school supplies this event was our 1st of many giveaways to come. Thanks to the staff and volunteers for their donations and support.

Ladera Park 

(Windsor Hills)

This community day event was an outdoor BBQ at the park with Bounce House and games. Project DESARDEN gave out 150 backpacks filled with school supplies. Parents came together from various areas from LA for a community day. Project DESARDEN staff had conversations about the needs for families and how they are surviving. Thanks for the support and donations for this event.

Sole Folks Art Lab

(Leimert Park)

Our first shoe giveaway at Sole Folks Art Lab was a success. Sole Folks is a community space in Leimert Park they also teach sewing and fashion to kids. Project DESARDEN made it on Telemundo 52 and emailed Channel 4 News to promote the community event and signed up kids in need from different schools and parks in the Los Angeles areas. The VANS Giveaway/ Party had free clothes, books, games, dancing and food. Thanks for the donations and support we gave away 150 pairs of Vans (75 Boys & 75 Girls). Also, a special guest Daniel the caricaturist who drew the parents and kids' cartoon faces for them to color.

Jim Gilliam Park

(Baldwin Hills)

This Adidas giveaway was a success at Jim Gilliam Park. Project DESARDEN gave out 100 pairs of shoes to kids in need that live and attend schools in the Baldwin Hills and Crenshaw area. This event had the parents and kids engaging into positive conversations we also had free snacks and drinks. Thanks to our sponsor Troy who also grew up in the Baldwin Hills area supported the event and is aware of the needs for the kids in the area. Also special thanks to the community for promoting the flyer and coming out to the event donating more shoes.

Slauson Swapmeet 

"Throw it in the Bag" was the theme and we gave out 30 Dagne Dover bags at the Slauso Swapmeet for Thanksgiving. The bags were filled with shoes and essential items.
